CSN Stores Make Feeding Time Easy.....

Do you remember me telling you about
CSN Stores before we left for our trip to California?

I was excited about all of the great products they had to offer and was looking forward to sharing with you what I found in the
Baby Feeding section of
CSNBaby.com
once we started Bresden on solid foods.

Well the time has come.....
Bresden had his first taste of rice cereal on Thanksgiving Day while we were in California.
So we were finally able to try out the
&
that we ordered from
CSN Stores.

The Boon Squirt...

I had actually never used a Boon Squirt before this but I have actually given them as gifts. My sister-in-law raved about them and I went all over town looking for them when I needed a baby gift (this was before I knew about CSN Stores).  I could have saved myself a lot of time and energy if I had known about CSN Stores back then.
Anyways, I was pretty excited to finally try it out and I liked it even more than I had expected....which says a lot because my expectations were pretty high.
To use the Boon Squirt you just pour food in the handle, screw on the spoon, squeeze and feed.
Then just toss it in the dishwasher!
It really is that simple!
There is even a cap in case he doesn't finish it all.
According to my sister-in-law you can dump an entire jar of baby food into it at once.
A Little Tip: When filling the Boon Squirt....I found that I could scrape all of the food into the handle easier if I set the handle in an empty cup... then it was sitting upright and I had both hands free...one to hold the bowl or jar and  one to scrape the food into it with a spoon.
I actually thought that I would mainly just use the Boon Squirt for feedings on the go but I have been using it at home for every feeding since I first tried it.
Definitely going to be getting some more of these!
It makes feeding him so much easier and cleaner too as I am not dripping food on the way to his mouth.
LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!

Baby Bjorn Soft Bib...

I had actually used a Baby Bjorn Soft Bib before this.  A family that I babysat for had one and I really liked it.  You really only need to have one of these at home because you just rinse it off and it is ready to be used again.  With fabric bibs you have to have a bunch because they have to be laundered. Another benefit to it not being fabric is that it won't start looking dingy and stained the way that fabric bibs do when they are used again and again.
I love that it has a food catcher...great for catching drips now and pieces of food that would end up on the floor (when he is older).
Bresden is loving eating solid foods and
I am loving the convenience of the
Boon Squirt & Baby Bjorn Bib.
Thanks
CSN Stores!!!

I was not paid to post this review.  I was compensated only by the store credit that I received to purchase the items for this review.

FlyeBaby Review & Discounts

I don't know about you.... But one of my favorite things to do when I am flying is to check out all the newest products in SkyMall.
You know.... that magazine in the seatpocket in front of you that is filled with all kinds of neat stuff.

Well on one of my most recent trips I was looking through SkyMall  & I came across
What is FlyeBaby?
And Why is it A Must-Have?

It's a portable, hammock-style, fabric seat that secures to your airplane tray table providing a secure and comfortable seat for your baby that allows face-to-face interaction.....and when I saw it I thought to myself, "I have got to get one of those."

Bresden LOVES face-to-face interaction and keeping him smiling is a top priority in the confined cabin of an airplane.

I am happy to say that we had the pleasure of trying FlyeBaby out on our trip to California
(sent to us free of charge for this review)
and Bresden Loved It!
It was a great way to give my arms a break from holding him and provided him with a comfy place to kick-back, relax and play.
The other thing that I love about FlyeBaby is that it has uses beyond just airplane flights
It is designed to also work on dining room chairs and beach chairs.
So it not only creates a secure, comfortable place for your baby on flights, but at home, at a restaurant, around a pool or at the beach.

According to the FlyeBaby website it is the ONLY multi-use product of it’s kind!

It's Machine Washable & Folds Up To Fit In Your Diaper Bag
and even comes with a Matching Drawstring Bag to Keep It In!

I'm sure that we will be getting a lot of use out of our FlyeBaby on future flights and I will be carrying it in my diaper bag (once Bresden is able to sit up unassisted)
for use in restaurants and at homes of friends and family as a portable highchair.

I'm sure that you are going to want to get one too so.....
FlyeBaby is offering a special discount of $10 off the retail price of $39.99
(the retail price was just lowered from $49.99)
and free standard shipping within the Continental US
just for Modern Mommy Must-Have readers.

That Makes It Just $29.99!

The Discount Code Is:
MM10

Looking for even more of a bargain?

I have a little insider info for you.....
A very limited quantities of FlyeBaby's that have minor aesthetic defects will be available on the website soon for a drastically reduced price of $17.99 (and that includes shipping).  These slightly imperfect FlyeBaby's have minor defects that are not that noticeable, will not effect the functionality and may be well worth the savings!!!  In fact, the FlyeBaby that I received for this review was one of the ones that just did not pass the quality inspection because the blue colors on the label were a little faded and not the vibrant blue that they are supposed to be.

If you are planning to travel with an infant or know someone who is I highly recommend that you check out
and get in on one of these great opportunities to save.
Also, keep an eye out for a new and improved version of FlyeBaby to be launched early next year.

Lots To Say Baby Review & Giveaway

We Are Back From Our Trip And I've Got
"Lots To Say Baby"....

I really do have "lots to say" about all of the
Modern Mommy Travel Must-Haves
that we had the pleasure of reviewing
while we were on our trip to California for Thanksgiving.

The first couple are actually from a company called

Check Out This
Totally Cute
"In Flight Entertainment"
Onesie
(sent to us free of charge for this review).
Who Wouldn't Want To Sit Next to This Little Guy On An Airplane?

As if the onesie were not cute & funny enough on its own....
I was cracking up when I realized that it also came with a pair of earplugs.

What a great way to break the ice and befriend a passenger who is lucky enough to have a front row seat for your
"in flight entertainment."

Bresden wore this onesie on our flight to California and got plenty of positive attention from the flight crew and other passengers.
He did so good on the flight there....
If only I had time to do laundry or had a second onesie for our return flight..... when a minor in flight melt-down actually did occur.

Now that we are back from our trip and I have had a little time to do laundry I can tell you that this onesie (which I immediately noted was very high quality) washed up really nice....

I'm Hoping We Will Be Flying Again Soon
So That He Can Wear It Again.

I will also be keeping in mind that they offer an
"Are We There Yet?" onesie
 for roadtrips too.

Lots To Say Baby
offers more than just cute travel onesies though.

In Fact,
They Are Probably Best Known For Their Pacifiers....

Maybe you have you seen their cute pacifiers with funny little sayings on them?

If not, you really need to check out their website.
We received one with the words "Pull to Sound Alarm" on it
(sent free of charge for this review).
So Funny, So True and Oh So Cute!
I also like that it came with a cover so it didn't collect all kinds of fuzz in our diaper bag.

Any Mom will tell you,
"Traveling with an infant can be stressful"
but products like these
can help you and everyone else see the humor in things
and lighten up the mood a bit.

So if you are planning to travel with an infant or  you are just looking for a fun and unique baby gift
check out

I am so excited To Say that

My Brest Friend Travel Pillow & Nursing Cover Review & Giveaway...

Our Next Two
 Modern Mommy Travel Must-Haves
come from the makers of the nursing pillow that is
The #1 Choice of Lactation Consultants
 &
 This Mommy Blogger,

"When babies are away from their normal surroundings and off their regular routine, its comforting for them to have the familiarity of their My Brest Friend."
I love my My Brest Friend Nursing Pillow
but with all the additional baggage fees these days
I didn't think that there was any way that I would be able to take
My Brest Friend
 with us to Connecticut.

So you can imagine my EXCITEMENT when I found out that
My Brest Friend makes a Travel Pillow
(we were sent one free of charge for this review).

Not only would I be able to use the pillow when we reached our destination but because it is inflatable and compact enough to fit in a diaper bag I was able to use it on the airplane too.

It Worked Great!
It was so comfortable for Bresden that he ended up falling asleep on the pillow after he nursed and since I was so comfortable too I let him rest on it throughout the rest of the flight.

A couple of helpful tips if you are planning to use your
My Best Friend Travel Pillow on and airplane:

I would recommend that you inflate the pillow & put the cover on it
(then deflate it with the cover still on it) before you pack,
so that way the cover is already on it when you inflate it with limited space on the plane.
That is what I did & it worked out great!
I should also mention that if you inflate the pillow before you reach cruising altitude you will probably need to let a little air out as it will expand with the change in cabin pressure.  But letting some of the air out was super easy as I just reached under the pillow, unzipped it a bit and opened up the valve to release a little bit of air (all while my baby was resting/nursing comfortably on the pillow).

Why It's A Must-Have:

•Same patented design & features as the Original My Brest Friend pillow
(in fact the covers are even interchangeable)

•Wrap around design secures to the body helping mom and baby maintain positioning and latch on
•Back rest helps you maintain good posture during feeding and prevents sore back and neck
•Firm, flat cushion keeps baby from rolling
•Adjustable, silent-release strap fits Moms or Dads comfortably and unlatches without waking baby
•Arm and elbow rests eliminate shoulder stress
•Convenient pocket keeps water bottles, burp cloths, phone, and other items within reach

•Packs flat and fits in diaper bag pockets

•Ideal for airplanes and overnights

•Lightweight and easy to store

I also had the pleasure of reviewing a fabulous
Nursing Cover from My Brest Friend
(sent free of charge for this review).

The My Brest Friend Nursing Cover provides mothers the privacy that they need to comfortably breastfeed in public or on the go.

I proved that you can really breastfeed descreetly anywhere you go with this cover as I even used it to feed my baby in the middle of Time Square!!!

The easy view design lets moms easily check on their nursing babies while staying completely covered.

Why It's A Must-Have:

•Private easy view design & great coverage
( Allowing you to nurse just about anywhere.... so you won't miss out on the fun)

•Adjustable for all sizes
(the adjustable strap has a clip like you would find on denim overalls that prevents the strap from slipping so you can nurse with confidence)

•Breathable 100% cotton

•Convenient pocket

  • Available in a variety of designer fabrics
(so you can nurse in style)

Works great with My Brest Friend nursing pillow

You Need A WubbaNub!

There was a time when I said that my child would NEVER use one of those soothie-style pacifiers.
You know the ones...
they give them out at the hospital....
they look just like the nipple off of a bottle.

In fact, I was so adamant about it that I even brought my own pacifiers with me to the hospital when Bresden was born to ensure that he would not be given one of "those pacifiers."

But despite my best efforts, my son's pediatrician gave him a soothie-style pacifier when he was getting his circumcision and he has been attached to it ever since.

I guess that is why they say, "Never say Never!"

As much as I can't stand the way they look....
I just can't take something away that he loves so much.

But I must share the one thing that has made accepting his attachment to Soothie pacifiers a little bit easier for me...

Introducing the WubbaNub!!!

What is a WubbaNub
 & Why Is It A Must-Have?

It's a cute little stuffed animal that is attached to a Soothie pacifier, invented by a mom after an entire night of the ever-persistent "missing pacifier syndrome" and it is sure to become one of your families favorite things.

The slight weight of the plush animal
keeps the pacifier in place near the baby.
 It also
 provides comfort
 and makes it so much
easier for the baby to grasp and manipulate the pacifier themselves.
 Which means
fewer bouncing, rolling and lost pacifiers
 and
less rooting around in the stroller, crib or bag
to find where the pacifier went.

No wonder WubbaNubs are being used in hospitals across the nation.

I Love the WubbaNub
(sent to us free of charge for this review)
because it helps my little guy keep his paci in his mouth,
it makes his pacifier so much easier to find
 and that cute little animal
takes away from the "bottle nipple in the mouth" look!

He Loves his "Wubby"
because it's his
favorite pacifier and a cuddly toy all in one.

If you know a new parent or your are a new parent
who could use a little extra sleep at night
(what new parent couldn't?)....
You Need A WubbaNub!

If you just can't stand the way Soothie pacifiers look...
You Need A WubbaNub!
Or
Maybe You Love Soothie Pacifiers...
You Need A WubbaNub!

Check out all the cute WubbaNub Pacifiers @

&

They say,
"Once You Go Wub, Everything Else Is Just A Pacifier."

Welcome!

Welcome to The Modern Mommy Must-Haves Blogspot,
a blog devoted to sharing Must-Have product reviews, giveaways, information and more for modern moms like you.
Let me share a little about myself….My name is Tiffany, I am 30 years old. My husband, Jason and I moved to San Antonio, Texas from California a few years ago (Still a California Girl at heart) and we are expecting our first child (a boy) July 1st. We could not be more excited!
I started out as the guest maternity/new baby blogger on my sister’s very successful blogspot, One Bored Mommy. But due to an overwhelming response we felt that it would be best to create a separate blog just for my reviews and giveaways….
Modern Mommy Must-Haves was born!
I am so excited to have you here as a reader of my blog (from the very beginning) and I look forward to sharing my experiences with you as I enter the second half of my pregnancy, set up a nursery and prepare for the arrival of our little man. I hope that you will continue to follow my blog as I anticipate a lot of exciting things ahead… for you & me!
